Logitech announced updates to its presentation remote category, with software updates for the Logitech® Spotlight™ Presentation Remote and the new Logitech® R500 Laser Presentation Remote, a simple, reliable and hassle-free remote for better presentations everywhere. The Spotlight Presentation Remote set the new standard in presentation control when it launched last year, enabling you to highlight and magnify on-screen content in an engaging and powerful way so you can better underscore your point. With the Spotlight software updates and the release of the R500 Laser Presentation Remote, Logitech furthers its vision of helping people become better – and more confident – presenters by empowering them with tools which make them look more professional in front of their audience.

Logitech has announced that Logitech Harmony hub-based products now work with the Google Assistant on Google Home, eligible Android phones and iPhones in the UK, expanding the possibilities of voice control. Now, you can control your TV entertainment experience using Harmony Elite, Harmony Companion, and Harmony Hub, with your Google Assistant.

You can now use the Google Assistant to launch Activities from your Harmony hub-based remote. Start by saying, “Ok Google, ask Harmony to turn on my TV” to automatically power on your TV, tune to your favorite TV channel, power on an AV receiver and speaker, and even dim the lights. Control any of the 270,000 devices supported by the Logitech Harmony platform. Here are some of the ways you can enjoy controlling your TV experience using Logitech Harmony and the Google Assistant.

“Ok Google, ask Harmony to…”

● “...turn on Netflix or BBC iPlayer.”—Directly launch channels like Netflix on your Roku device

● “...turn on BBC News or E4.”—Any of your favourite channels set up in a Harmony account can be triggered

● “...turn on my ‘Good Morning’ Activity.”—When you set up an Activity such as “Good Morning” in your Harmony account, you can set Philips Hue lights to warm colors, turn up a Nest thermostat, and play music from your Sonos speakers

● “...mute the TV.”—Easily mute, raise, and lower the volume

● “...go to channel number 15.” —The Google Assistant and Logitech Harmony allow you to directly change to the channel you want
